Hindu Temple - Dieng Plateau

The structures at Dieng date from the 8th century AD. They are Java's earliest. The there are eight surviving temples which are built as monuments to the god-ancestors.

The name Dieng means "Abode of the Gods" and it is in a misty location about 2000 metres above sea level in an active geothermal region.
