'Competent Judges'
|
24"w x 18"h (print) I received an image of this print from Donna who lives in Kent (England). Her father has had this print and "To The King" in his possession for over thirty years. The picture may be a parody of Judges that Frank knew. In 1887 Frank was involved in a divorce case against his second wife Florence. Perhaps one of the judges could represent Sir James Hannen who summed up the case .... later on doing a Google search, the English National Portrait Gallery has three pictures of Sir James Hannen (Baron Hannen), and they seem to resemble the features of the central figure. However I cannot be certain as the illustrations are very small. I will try to get more information, if available, from Frank's descendents. |
