Theosophical Society HQ circa 1910

On attempting to read a 1925 copy of "The Golden Book of the Theosophical Society" I formed the opinion that it would help if it was scanned and the images and text made a little clearer - resulting in the pdf files listed below.

My interest was awakened when Terhi Ahava, a researcher into the history of the Theosophical Society in Chennai, contacted me to see if I could add any details about my maternal great great grandfather, Josiah Andrew Hudleston.

Josiah Hudleston owned a property in Adyar from 1835-1864, that was later purchased by the Theosophical Society in 1882, for their International Headquarters.

The portrait of Josiah, shown on the right, was initially identified by Terhi Ahava and is located at https://collections.britishart.yale.edu/catalog/tms:257

The well known Huddleston Gardens of the Theosophical Society in Adyar was renamed the Besant Gardens in 2015.
