Between Batangas and Tilik pump boats are available such as M/B God's Grace II. These are much smaller than the RORO (Roll On Roll Off) ferry such as the Nikki pictured.

The trip between Batangas and the Port of Lubang at Tilik takes approximately two hours.


 

Lubang to Manila Ferry - the NIKKI

The ferries MV Nikki and MV Conchita are run by Moreta Shipping Lines. The trip from Manila to Tilik takes about six hours. Schedules can be obtained from:

Our group hired a fishing boat, the "John Lord", to travel from the Port of Calatagan, Batangas to Lubang Island. In the middle of the boat can be seen a refrigerator, which due to lack of space was stood upright.

After we embarked from Batangas, the wind and wave heights increased, and we were forced to go around the southern tip of Lubang Island, on the leeward side of the Island to reach Tagbac.

The approximately six hour trip between Manila and Tilik can be relatively dull so sleeping accommodation is appreciated by many passengers.
